Friedrich Herwig

Friedrich Herwig (born February 23, 1856 in Holzhausen , † July 6, 1920 in Saarbrücken ) was a German high school professor and member of the German Reichstag.

Life

Friedrich Herwig studied natural sciences at the universities in Leipzig and Marburg. In 1874 he became a member of the Corps Budissa Leipzig . From 1883 he was a senior teacher at the Ludwigsgymnasium in Saarbrücken, later a grammar school professor there. He was chairman of the national liberal electoral association in Saarbrücken. From 1913 to 1918 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . In 1917/18 he sat for the constituency of Trier 5 ( Saarbrücken ) and the National Liberal Party in the Reichstag (German Empire) .
