Friedrich Kaden

Friedrich Kaden (born June 2, 1928 in Großschirma ; † October 4, 1993 ) was a German teacher and headmaster in Saxony. As a non-fiction author, he also wrote popular gastronomic books for children.

Friedrich Kaden attended secondary school in Freiberg . At the age of 15 he was deployed as an air force helper. After the Second World War he began to work as a new teacher , first in Naundorf , then in Hilbersdorf and from 1952 in Großschirma. He taught all subjects, passed the 1st and 2nd teacher exams and completed a distance learning course for the subjects German and mathematics. At the Pedagogical University of Dresden he acquired the qualification to teach astronomy , which he later supervised as a specialist advisor in Freiberg . From 1967 to 1978 he worked as director of the school in Großschirma.

In the 1970s, Friedrich Kaden began writing non-fiction books for children. In 1985 he was accepted into the GDR Writers' Association, and in 1991 into the Association of German Writers . The primary school in Großschirma was named after him in 2011.
