Friedrich Ludwig Hess

Friedrich Ludwig Hess (born September 20, 1721 ; † February 22, 1800 ) was a Swiss military person .

1741 joined Hess as a second lieutenant in the Dutch services and was 1745 to lieutenant and in 1747 to lieutenant commander appointed. In 1748 he moved to the Dutch Swiss Guards Regiment , where he was promoted to Guard Captain in 1750 , Lieutenant Colonel in 1776 , Major General in 1779 and Lieutenant Colonel and General in 1790 . In 1756 he was accepted into the society of Schildner zum Schneggen and in 1777 he was twelve of the guild of Kämbel . Hess was ennobled in Holland .
