Friedrich Reinhold (painter)

Friedrich "Fritz" Reinhold (born December 28, 1814 in Vienna , † July 23, 1881 in Ybbs an der Donau ) was an Austrian landscape painter .

Friedrich Reinhold was the son of the painter, etcher and lithographer Friedrich Philipp Reinhold (1779–1840), brother of the painters Franz Xaver Reinhold (1816–1893) and Karl Reinhold (1820–1887).

Friedrich Reinhold studied at the Vienna Art Academy from 1830 to 1839 under Thomas Ender (1793–1875) and Joseph Mössmer (1780–1845). From 1834 to 1843 he went on study trips with his brother Franz Xaver. After completing his studies, he worked on landscape painting in the style of his father's works. From 1848 he lived in Gmunden . Due to a serious eye disease, he spent the last years of his life in the supply house of the City of Vienna in Ybbs on the Danube.
