Karl Reinhold (painter)
Karl Reinhold (born February 1, 1820 in Vienna , † January 20, 1887 in Altaussee ) was an Austrian painter and lithographer .
Karl Reinhold was the son of the painter, etcher and lithographer Friedrich Philipp Reinhold (1779–1840), brother of the painters Franz Xaver Reinhold (1816–1893) and Friedrich Reinhold (1814–1884).
Karl Reinhold studied at the Vienna Art Academy with Leopold Kupelwieser (1796–1862) and Sebastian Wegmayr (1776–1857) from 1838 to 1840 . After completing his studies, he became involved in portrait and landscape painting, and also created lithographs. From 1850 he lived as a postmaster in Altaussee and since then has only been interested in painting.
