Friedrich Roemer

Friedrich Roemer (born June 2, 1912 in Stuttgart , † May 18, 1996 in Esslingen am Neckar ) was a German district president .

Friedrich Roemer was the great-grandson of Friedrich von Römer . In 1934 he began studying law at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen and was a member of the Igel Tübingen academic association . Roemer passed his first state examination in law in 1938 and the second state examination in 1943. From 1945 to 1949 Friedrich Roemer was Head of Department 1 (Office Director) at the State Secretariat for Internal Affairs in Württemberg-Hohenzollern. In 1949 he became district administrator of the district of Balingen . He remained in this office until 1967 when he became regional president in the administrative district of North Württemberg . After the dissolution of this district, he took on the same task in the subsequent administrative district of Stuttgart , in 1977 he retired. In 1972 Roemer received the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class and in 1977 the Great Federal Cross of Merit.
