Friedrich Schmidt (politician, 1874)
Friedrich Schmidt (born July 18, 1874 in Hamilton (Ohio) , † June 5, 1943 in Berlin ) was an Austrian - American architect and politician of the Greater German People's Party (GdP).
education and profession
Schmidt was the son of the businessman Max Schmidt. The family moved to Munich from the United States in 1877 .
After attending elementary and secondary school , he went to the Technical University in Munich . After studying, which he completed with the dissertation "On the Origin of the Romanesque Architectural Style" with Dr. Ing. 1904/05, he worked in Regensburg . From 1912 he held the position of city architect and city building council in Merano . He later became a building officer in Innsbruck . In 1930 he was a functionary in the Association of Engineers in Tyrol and Vorarlberg .
