Friedrich Vogel (Mayor)

Friedrich Vogel (born November 22, 1862 in Benesch, Silesia , † March 15, 1923 in Klosterneuburg ) was an Austrian lawyer and politician .

Life

Born the son of a notary , Vogel studied law in Vienna after attending grammar school in Würbenthal . During his studies in 1883 he became a member of the Silesia Vienna fraternity . He was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD . After completing his studies, he worked as a lawyer and advocate for the Klosterneuburg monastery . In 1912 he became mayor of Klosterneuburg for the German National Party until the Lieutenancy was dissolved in 1913. From 1918 to 1919 he was the provisional councilor. He was a member of the savings bank committee.

Honors

  • 1932: The Dr.-Vogel-Gasse in Klosterneuburg was named after him.
