Friedrich Weigle

Friedrich Weigle (born November 17, 1850 in Stuttgart ; † January 6, 1906 there ) was a German organ builder . His tomb in the cemetery in Echterdingen shows the date of death January 19, 1906.

On January 1st, 1880, he took over the workshop of his father Carl Gottlieb Weigle , which he moved from Stuttgart to Echterdingen in 1888 . Before the turn of the century, organs were already being delivered to America, Africa and Asia. Around 1902 bankruptcy proceedings ran against the company.

After his death, the sons Friedrich , Karl, Julius and Gotthold Weigle took over the company.
