Friedrich Wilhelm Heise (politician)

Friedrich Wilhelm Heise (born May 6, 1791 in Stade ; † November 23, 1862 ibid) was a Hanoverian administrative lawyer and Landdrost .

Life

Heise was the son of the clerk and later chief customs inspector Otto Christoph Heise († 1819). After attending school in Stade and at the Ilfeld convent school , he began studying law at the University of Göttingen in 1808. He is documented by entries in the register as a co-founder of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen on January 18, 1809. In the course of the gendarme affair and the exodus of the Göttingen student body that followed, he moved to the University of Heidelberg for the winter semester 1809/10, where he and other Göttingen students founded the Corps Hannovera Heidelberg . In October 1810 he returned to Göttingen and in October 1811 he enrolled at the University of Dijon for his studies at the University of Dijon, which was mandatory for lawyers in the French era . After graduating, he joined the Hanoverian civil service in 1813 as an auditor in the Coldingen office . In 1814 he became official clerk in the Gifhorn office and in 1817 government secretary at Landdrostei Stade . In 1824 he was promoted to government councilor at Landdrostei Lüneburg and in 1844 he was transferred back to his home town of Stade as a councilor. In 1852 Heise became a secret councilor and in 1858 Landdrost (district president) of the Landdrostei Stade, from 1862 as a secret council. Heise was a commandeur of the Guelph Order, 1st class. He died of a nerve attack.
