Friedrich Wilhelm Meyer (politician)

Friedrich Wilhelm Meyer (born March 1, 1797 in Weißbach , † June 6, 1879 in Zwickau ) was a German lawyer and mayor of Zwickau.

Life

Born the son of a resident and landowner , Meyer studied law in Leipzig after attending the Zwickau grammar school . During his studies in 1818 he became a member of the old Leipzig fraternity . After graduating, he became in 1823 Vice actuaries in Zwickau and 1829 Office actuary in Schwarzenberg . From 1832 to 1860 he was mayor of Zwickau.
