Friedrich Wilhelm von Kröcher (born May 2, 1810 at Erxleben Castle , † February 19, 1891 at Vinzelberg Castle ) was a German manor owner and administrative officer.

Friedrich Wilhelm von Kröcher came from the noble family Kröcher . His parents were the manor owner, district administrator and regional director Wilhelm von Kröcher and Sophie born. Countess of Alvensleben (1790–1848). His maternal grandfather was the statesman Johann Ernst von Alvensleben .

His siblings were Marie Helene (1812-1853), third wife of Heinrich Friedrich von Itzenplitz , Prussian minister and parliamentarian, August Henning , member of the Prussian mansion, and Karoline Ehrengard (1821-1895), wife of Udo Gebhard Ferdinand von Alvensleben , member of the Prussian mansion.

The Prussian finance minister Albrecht von Alvensleben was his uncle.

Career

Friedrich Wilhelm von Kröcher studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1830 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After completing his studies, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1843 he was elected to succeed his father district administrator of the district Gardelegen . He held the office until 1861.

Von Kröcher was the owner of the Deetz manor and after the death of his father became entrant master of Vinzelberg Castle.

Personalities from the Inner Mission frequented his house, such as Theodor Fliedner , Johann Hinrich Wichern and Friedrich von Bodelschwingh , who in particular had a formative influence on Kröcher's daughter Bertha.

family

In his first marriage he was married to Bertha geb. von Gerlach (1822–1863). The social reformer Bertha von Kröcher was her daughter. The President of the Prussian House of Representatives Jordan von Kröcher was her son. They also had daughters Ida (1844–1850) and Sophie Katharina (1849–1902).

In 1865 he married the widowed Luise von Veltheim-Schönfließ, b. von Mitzlaff († 1867).
