Hermann Nikolaus Friedrich Graf von Burghauß (born October 26, 1796 in Friedland (Upper Silesia) , † July 18, 1885 in Breslau ) was a Silesian landowner and politician.

Burghauß came from the Silesian noble family of the Counts of Burghauß , who owned extensive land in the Duchy of Schweidnitz . The family was entitled to the dominion of Friedland (Upper Silesia) and the manors of Laasan , Saarau, Peterwitz and Neudorf (Nowice), which were united in a majorate. The Majorate Laasan entitles the respective Majorate Lord to a seat and vote in the Silesian Provincial Parliament , as well as in the Herrenkuria of the United State Parliament, in the First Chamber of the Prussian State Parliament and in the Prussian Manor House .

Friedrich Burghauß was the son of Count Nikolaus Ferdinand von Burghauß and his wife Juliane von Sandretzki . He was married to Adelaide Countess Henckel von Donnersmarck . The couple remained childless. Heir was Friedrich Ludwig Graf von Pfeil-Burghauß (1803-1896).

Life

Burghauß, Knight of Honor of the Order of St. John and Royal Prussian Chamberlain, inherited the extensive family property in 1815 at the age of 19 and became Majoratherr on Laasan and Friedland / OS From 1842 he was President of the Central Agricultural Association for Silesia and from 1846 to 1876 General Landscape Director for Silesia.
