Friedrich von Carmer-Borne

Hans Ludwig Wilhelm Friedrich Graf von Carmer (-Borne) (born December 30, 1827 in Pantzkau , Striegau district, † June 28, 1885 in Lugano ) was a Silesian landowner and politician.

Carmer-Borne came from the older branch of the Silesian noble family Carmer , which received the Prussian count status at the end of the 18th century. His parents were the Majoratsherr auf Pantzkau , Carl Graf von Carmer (1798–1857) and Henriette von Treskow, heiress to Obsendorf and Buchwald in Silesia. Friedrich was the second oldest of eight children.

Life

Friedrich von Carmer studied law at the University of Halle . In 1851 he became a member of the Corps Marchia Halle . After graduating, he served as a prime lieutenant in Potsdam.

He married Marie von Elsner , daughter of Ernst von Elsner , landowner on Zieserwitz and Marie, geb. from Schweinitz . The couple had three children, Carl (1861–?), Erich (1863–?), Magdalena (1865–?).

Carmer was a legal knight of the Order of St. John and landowner on Pantzkau in the Striegau district as well as Lamsfeld, Borne, Grünthal, all districts of Neumarkt , Silesia. From 1859 he was a member of the Prussian mansion on presentation of the old and fortified real estate in the Liegnitz and Wohlau district. He belonged to the manor house until his death in 1885.
