Friedrich von Kielmansegg (Drost)
Friedrich Graf von Kielmansegg (born September 10, 1728 , † June 5, 1800 ) was a German lawyer and administrative officer.
Life
Friedrich Graf von Kielmansegg was the eldest son of the Hanoverian general Georg Ludwig von Kielmansegg and his wife Melusine Agnes Freiin von Spörcken (1701–1777). This marriage had fourteen children, six of whom died in childhood. Friedrich remained the younger brother Carl Rudolph August , later Privy Councilor and Chamber President in Hanover, and six sisters.
From 1745 to January 1748, Friedrich first attended the Knight's Academy of Lüneburg and then enrolled at the University of Göttingen to study law on February 10, 1748 together with his younger brother Carl Rudolph August . In Göttingen he was a member of the Pug Order and is mentioned in the university files as one of the student participants in King George II's visit . After completing his studies, he took the route of an administrative lawyer. After a short stay at the Imperial Court of Justice in Wetzlar (1751), he became an auditor at the Hanoverian judiciary in 1752 . In 1752 he became assessor at the court in Ratzeburg . In 1754 Friedrich von Kielmansegg was appointed councilor. During the Seven Years' War he temporarily stood by his father's side and in 1762 traveled with his brother to the court in London. From 1759 to 1771 he worked as court and chancellery advisor in Celle and then became a Hanoverian Landdrost in Ratzeburg in 1771 . Here he made a living with a collection of the laws of Lauenburg , which had only fallen to the Electorate of Hanover at the beginning of the century. In 1785 he inherited the Gülzow estate in Lauenburg from his father . In 1796 he received the title of lieutenant general . He was buried in the family funeral of Gut Gülzow.

Friedrich von Kielmansegg was married twice. With his second wife, Charlotte Wilhelmine Hedwig Freiin von Spörcken, he had four daughters and ten sons who were born between 1765 and 1787; including:

- Friedrich von Kielmansegg , Hanoverian general of the infantry and
- Ferdinand von Kielmansegg , Hanoverian Minister of War.
