Fritz Dorgerloh

Fritz Dorgerloh (* 1932 ) is a German Protestant theologian . He was responsible for church youth work in what was then the German Democratic Republic and co-developer of the slogan " Swords to Plowshares ".

Life

Dorgerloh graduated from high school in 1952, which was followed by studies of theology at the Humboldt University in Berlin . From 1956 to 1957 he was a scholarship holder in Basel , he completed his vicariate in Potsdam and the seminary in Brandenburg . The ordination took place 1,961th

Dorgerloh had been a pastor in Potsdam since 1968 . In 1974 he became a lecturer for qualification and further training in the field of youth work at the Burckhardthaus in East Berlin, whose management he took over in 1988 and held it until 1997. Since 1980 he has also been secretary of the Church Youth Work Commission at the Federation of Evangelical Churches in the GDR and chairman of the advisory board of the Ecumenical Youth Service.

His sons are Hartmut , Stephan and Sebastian Dorgerloh.
