Fritz Föttinger

Fritz Föttinger (* 14. September 1939 in Bayreuth ) is a German painter , dialect writer, graphic artist and ceramist .

After graduating from high school, he studied at the University of Education in Bayreuth. From 1963 to 1988 he was a primary school teacher in the Bayreuth district. He married in 1987 and became a freelance artist in 1988. In addition to his work as a painter and graphic artist, he is also a writer . He particularly tried to put the East Franconian dialect into writing. For his pictures, which were shown in numerous exhibitions, he received several cultural awards. He was a companion of Peter Coler for years .
