Fritz Hodeige

Fritz Hodeige (born December 18, 1920 in Berlin ; † August 26, 2001 ) was a German publisher .

Fritz Hodeige was born as the son of the businessman Max Hodeige. He received his doctorate in Marburg in 1949 and worked for a publishing house in Düsseldorf in the following years. After marrying the publisher's daughter Eleonore Rombach, he took over the management of the Rombach publishing house in Freiburg as sole managing director in 1956 . He founded the book publisher with a focus on scientific publications. He was also a shareholder representative and supervisory board member at Badischer Verlag . In 1987 he retired.

With the Eleonore and Fritz Hodeige Foundation, he promoted art, culture and medical research.
