Fritz Hohmeier

Fritz Hohmeier (born January 18, 1876 in Großenwieden , † January 9, 1950 in Koblenz ) was a German surgeon and medical professional.

Life

Hohmeier began to study medicine at the Philipps University of Marburg . In 1896 he became active in the Corps Teutonia Marburg . When he was inactive , he moved to the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . It was 1901, the medical state examination and was 1901 in Tübingen Dr. med. PhD . He completed his surgical training in Hanover and at the old hospital in Altona . In 1911 he became a private lecturer at the Royal University of Greifswald. In 1912 he became senior physician and professor at the surgical university clinic in Marburg. From 1916 to 1946 he was chief physician of the municipal hospitals in Koblenz. In 1946 Hohmeier became President of the Medical Association of Rhineland-Palatinate .
