Fritz Klein (sports journalist)
Fritz Klein (born March 23, 1937 in Hamburg ; † December 2, 2014 there ) was a German sports journalist and media entrepreneur .
Klein completed a journalistic training and from 1958 worked for the sports department of the NDR . In 1976 he became head of the sports department at NDR and from 1987 was the successor to Hans-Heinrich Isenbart, sports coordinator for ARD .
Klein started the television program Sport III at NDR, which was the predecessor of the sports club . In the 1980s he regularly moderated the ARD sports show and commented on numerous major sporting events such as the Olympic Games and soccer world championships .
In 1991, Klein founded the agency RTV Sport Sales Promotion GmbH , with which he advised sports associations until his death.
