Fritz Korter (born March 4, 1892 in Kaiserslautern , † June 7, 1945 in Worms ) was a German sculptor .

Live and act

Korter was a student of Erwin Kurz (1857-1931) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . In addition to tombs in the Kaiserslauter cemetery, he created, among other things, the war memorial 1914-18 on the market square in Dahn , in Kaiserslautern in 1925 the pair of horse tamers (of which only one copy still exists) in today 's Volkspark , 1926-1928 an artificial stone sculpture in the inner courtyard of the rotunda and in 1939 the torch fountain .
