Fritz Linde

Fritz Linde (born July 26, 1882 in Kierspe ; † December 19, 1935 ibid) was a German homeland poet who wrote in the dialect of the Sauerland in the Brandenburg region .

Linde was born the son of a master blacksmith in Sankel in Volmetal in the municipality of Kierspe and trained as a bat . After his wedding, he moved into his wife's house, today's Fritz-Linde-Museum in Kierspe, and earned his living as a metal worker (most recently machine fitter ) in the company Dr. Deisting and with the agricultural work on the Kotten in Höferhof. The company owner Deisting encouraged his writing activity by allowing him to write down his literary inspirations at any time, even during working hours. His daughter, who works in the company's secretariat, was allowed to sort the notes with the typewriter in the evening.

Linde died at the age of 53 in Höferhof near Kierspe of complications from pneumonia. In Kierspe, the Fritz-Linde-Stein and the Fritz-Linde-Strasse commemorate the local poet. The Fritz-Linde-Museum at Höferhof 23 has existed since July 26th, 2012, in which many pictures, his works and his manuscripts are exhibited.
