Fritz Oesterle

Fritz Oesterle (born April 7, 1952 in Stuttgart ) is a German manager .

Life

He completed his law studies at the University of Tübingen as the best in his year in the country with the grade "very good". He then became a research assistant at Wolfgang Münzberg's chair for civil law and received his doctorate in 1979 with summa cum laude as "Dr. jur." In 1980 he received the prize from the Reinhold and Maria Teufel Foundation Tuttlingen for outstanding scientific achievement.

In 1981 he completed his legal traineeship at the Stuttgart Regional Court with the second state examination in law and the grade "good" and was admitted to the bar.

Until 1988 he was a partner at Gleiss Lutz Hootz Hirsch & Partner in Stuttgart. In 1989 he founded his own law firm together with Frank Oppenländer and was a senior partner at Oppenländer, Dolde, Oesterle & Partner, Stuttgart until 1998. In 1998 he completed the “Program for Management Development” at Harvard Business School. From January 1, 1999 to June 30, 2011 he was Chairman of the Management Board of Celesio AG. From 2006 to 2009 he was a member of the board of Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH ( Duisburg ).

Oesterle is married and has three children.

From 2001 to mid-2007 he was a member of the Steering Committee of GIRP, the European Association of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers in Brussels . From 2003 he was Vice-President of GIRP.

In January 2006 he was appointed British Honorary Consul in Baden-Württemberg .
