Fritz Rueb

Friedrich "Fritz" Alfons Rueb (born July 16, 1925 in Schönau in the Black Forest ; † January 10, 2015 there ) was a German glider pilot and motor glider pilot .

Life

Fritz A. Rueb passed the A glider pilot test at the age of 13 and was Germany's youngest glider pilot at the time . In the following years he took part in national and international championships with his self-optimized aircraft, flew European and world records and was the first glider pilot to fly the 1000-kilometer triangle over the African continent.

In 1949 he founded the company FRISETTA, which today produces plastic injection molded parts and brushes mainly for oral hygiene as Ranir GmbH, and compounds polyamide as Nilit Plastics Europe GmbH & Co. KG. Over the years he has applied for and registered several patents for products and processes in his name. Fritz A. Rueb was honored for his services to the city of Schönau in the Black Forest and the surrounding region in 1989 with the citizen's medal of the city of Schönau in the Black Forest, in 1991 with the economic medal of the state of Baden-Württemberg and in 1999 as an honorary citizen of the city of Schönau in the Black Forest.
