Fritz Schneider (politician, 1838)

Fritz Schneider (born August 8, 1838 in Breslau ; † April 29, 1921 in Potsdam ) was a writer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Schneider attended the Elisabeth high school in Breslau from 1848 to 1858. In 1858 he became a student of philology, then economics in Breslau and from 1861 in Berlin . In 1858 he became a member of the Breslau fraternity of the Raczeks and in 1861 a member of the Berlin fraternity Arminia . In 1867 he made his doctorate at the economics faculty in Tübingen . From 1862 he was secretary of the legal profession of German cooperatives and from 1868 representative of the late Hermann Schulze-Delitzsch at the cooperative association days until he resigned from this position in 1884. From 1877 to 1886 he was a member of the city council in Potsdam and from 1882 to 1888 he was a member of the Brandenburg Provincial Landtag for Potsdam. From 1884 to 1887 member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Potsdam-Osthavelland and from 1890 to 1898 for Nordhausen . He stood for the German Liberal Party and from 1893 for the Liberal People's Party . He was also the author of various publications relating to the trade and business cooperatives.
