Fritz Sturmfels
Fritz Sturmfels (born November 13, 1872 in Munich , † August 6, 1913 in Tegernsee ) was a German operetta singer with a tenor voice .
Life
Fritz Sturmfels received his vocal training in Munich. After his first engagement in Hamburg , he came to the Stadttheater Leipzig in 1903 , where he rose to be a celebrated stage star.
In 1912/13 he and his wife, the singer Aenny Untucht, went on a tour of North America .
During a sailing excursion with Leo Slezak and Robert Volkner , Sturmfels drowned in Lake Tegernsee when the boat capsized due to bad weather.
