Schabky ( Ukrainian Жабки ; Russian Жабки Schabki ) is a village in the north of the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with about 650 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in the 17th century, was called Luzenky ( Луценки or Russian Луценки Luzenki ) between 1928 and 2016 .
Schabky is the administrative center of the eponymous, 85.613 km² district council in the northwest of Lochwyzja Rajon , to which the village Nowe ( Нове , ⊙ ) with about 60 inhabitants belongs.
The village is located near the borders with the Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts at an altitude of 129 m on the banks of the Lochwyzja ( Лохвиця ), a 63 km long right tributary of the Sula . Lochvytsia district center is located 20 km southeast and Poltava oblast center 190 km southeast of the village.
