geography

River course

The river rises on the northeast slopes of Kays Peak north of the Selwyn Range and flows northeast. He crosses under the Landsborough Highway and about 50 km further the Flinders Highway . It then runs almost parallel to the Gilliat River and finally flows into it at Sedan Dip , after it has also passed under Wills Development Road .

In its lower reaches, the Fullarton River forms a wide flood plain in which it runs parallel in many channels.
