Fursy ( Ukrainian Фурси , Russian Фурсы ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kiev with about 3200 inhabitants (2001).

The village, founded around 1500, is the administrative center of the district council of the same name in the west of Bila Tserkva Rajon , which also includes the village of Chmyrivka ( Чмирівка ) with 300 inhabitants.

Fursy lies on the banks of the 105 km long Kamjanka ( Кам'янка ), just before its confluence with the Ros . The village is located 11 km west of the Bila Tserkva district center and about 95 km southwest of the city center of Kiev . The regional road P-32 and the territorial road T-10-13 run through the village .

Personalities

The biathlete and former cross-country skier Jana Bondar was born in the village in 1991 .
