Gérard Rasquin
Gérard Rasquin (born July 30, 1927 in Paris , † December 11, 2012 in Luxembourg ) was a Luxembourgish athlete and sports official .
He started in 1952 at the Olympic Summer Games in Helsinki in the 4 x 400 meter relay race with Robert Schaeffer , Jean Hamilius and Fred Hammer . Four years later , he started in Melbourne in the 400-meter run and the 800-meter run . He did not reach an Olympic final. He was twelve times the title holder at Luxembourg championships and holder of 15 national records. After his active sports career, he was President of the Luxembourg Olympic Committee (COSL) from 1977 to 1989 and then its Honorary President.
