career

In the 1966/67 season, the VfB home-grown team won the Amateur League North Württemberg with the VfB Amateurs. In the competition for the German amateur championship, he and his teammates prevailed in the first round against the amateurs from Werder Bremen, but lost in the second round against the amateurs from Hannover 96. In the summer of 1967 he moved together with Manfred Weidmann and Hans-Dieter Koch moved up from the VfB amateurs to the first team's licensed squad. In addition, Gerhard Heinze and Roland Weidle from the VfB youth team got contracts, as did Dieter Feller from Preußen Münster, Manfred Gärtner (1. FC Saarbrücken) and Horst Haug from local rivals Stuttgarter Kickers.

Eisele made his debut on May 11, 1968 in a 3-2 home win against Karlsruher SC in the Bundesliga. In front of goalkeeper Heinze, he formed the defensive together with Koch, Theodor Hoffmann and Klaus-Dieter Sieloff . On the final day of the lap , May 28, 1968, in a 4-1 home win against Hamburger SV, he made his second round assignment under coach Gunther Baumann . Up to and including the 1971/72 season he experienced the working methods of the coaches Franz Seybold , Branko Zebec and Karl Bögelein at VfB .

At the turn of the year 1972 to 1973 he was awarded to the Karlsruher SC. He made his debut with the Wildparkstadion team on January 6, 1973 in a 1-0 home win against SSV Reutlingen in the then second-rate Regionalliga Süd. In front of goalkeeper Rudolf Wimmer he formed the KSC defense together with Horst Wild , Rainer Ulrich and Günter Fuchs . He played eleven league games in the team of coach Heinz Baas and was runner-up with KSC and thus moved into the Bundesliga promotion round with the team. There the defender came in the three games against Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin (3: 2 and 5: 1) and promoted SC Fortuna Köln (0: 6). After the end of the season he returned to VfB.

Eisele played two Bundesliga games for VfB Stuttgart in the 1973/74 season - against RW Essen (3: 3) and Hertha BSC (2: 0) - but was also under coach Hermann Eppenhoff in the games against Olympiakos Nicosia (4: 0), Tatran Presov (5: 3 a.s.) and Dynamow Kiev (0: 2) in the surprisingly successful UEFA Cup, the VfB team.

Günter Eisele is neither related nor related by marriage to long-time VfB regular Hans Eisele . For the 1974/75 season he moved to the DJK Konstanz in the amateur league South Baden, in order to only play football in the amateur field from then on.
