Günter Jerouschek

Günter Jerouschek (born May 30, 1950 in Göppingen ) is a German lawyer and psychoanalyst .

Jerouschek studied history , German and psychology at the universities of Tübingen and Freiburg , and then also law . In 1986, he was at Karl Kroeschell and Albin Eser with a thesis on the history of the prohibition of abortion to Dr. iur. and in 1988 at the University of Hanover for Dr. phil. (Psychology) PhD. In 1991 he received his habilitation in law at the University of Hanover.

Since 1997 he has been Professor of Criminal Law , Criminal Procedure Law and the History of Criminal Law at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . Jerouschek has been retired since October 1st, 2015.

His most important works include a commentary on the Psychotherapists Act (Beck 2004), a co-authorship of a plan of the history of criminal law (JuS series of publications, vol. 73), the (co-) editing of a current facsimile edition of the witch's hammer ( malleus maleficarum ) and numerous publications on Witch hunt .

Jerouschek received an honorary doctorate from the Loránd Eötvös University in Budapest in June 2007 .
