Günter Anton Ruch (born August 19, 1956 in Sinzig , Rhineland-Palatinate , † December 18, 2010 in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler ) was a German writer , journalist and author of contemporary , fantastic and historical novels . He lived in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, where he died of cancer on December 18, 2010 .

Ruch's early work has many autobiographical references, for example the previously unpublished contemporary novels Der Parasit (1982, Rhenish Trilogy I), 18, 20, passe ... (1987, Rhenish Trilogy II), The Man on the Mountain (1989, Rhenish Trilogy III), Mala (1992), The Alphabet of Earthworms (1995) and The Grandson (1999).

Günter Ruch was a member of the historical novel Quo Vadis . From 2005 to 2010 he was a volunteer Wikipedia author.

At times he was active as a local politician for the FDP .
