Günter Stahl

Günter Stahl (* 1922 in Wetzlar ; † August 2006 in Bremen ) was a Bremen Senate Director and deputy of various Bremen Senators .

biography

Stahl completed a teaching degree after the Second World War . He was then a teacher at the Odenwald School in Heppenheim (Bergstrasse) in Hesse. He then worked in youth work and became the deputy head of the Hessian state youth welfare office at the regional president in Darmstadt .
He married the pedagogue, later university professor and rector Emilie Stahl (1921–2003); both were childless.
In 1956 he became head of the youth welfare office in Bremen.

Stahl (SPD) was the Senate Director's representative for 24 years

With the resignation of Mayors Hans Koschnick and Thape, Stahl also retired in 1985.

After 1985 he was active in numerous other committees in Bremen, in several committees of the German Association of Cities , as a member of the Federal Youth Board of Trustees and as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) in Bremerhaven .
