Günter Tinnefeld (born July 28, 1957 ) is a former German soccer player who played 274 games in the 2nd Bundesliga for SG Wattenscheid 09 from 1978 to 1986 and scored seven goals. This puts Tinnefeld in third place in the Wattenscheid deployment list for the 2nd division behind Gerhard Drews (314) and Peter Kunkel (310).

Career

Günter Tinnefeld came from the Dinslaken suburb VfB Lohberg to the Wattenscheider Lohrheide in 1978 and immediately won a regular place under coach Hubert Schieth . In his first second division season 1978/79 , "Tinne" played 35 games and was part of the 09 team alongside goalkeeper Manfred Behrendt , Peter Wloka , Detlef Kudella and Michael Jakobs . In 1979/80 he achieved the best placement so far with Wattenscheid with fifth place in the table and one year later they qualified for the new single-track 2nd Bundesliga. Even under new coach Fahrudin Jusufi , Günter Tinnefeld had a regular place in the midfield, where he hung like a stick to the opposing playmakers as a runaway painter. He was active for the club from Lohrheide until the 1985/86 season , when he finished with his club in ninth place.

After completing his playing career, Günter Tinnefeld first became assistant coach of SG Wattenscheid 09. After an engagement at SV Rotthausen , he took over the association league club SuS 09 Dinslaken in 1993 and took him to the Oberliga Nordrhein in 1994 . 2001 he rose with Hamborn 07 also in the league.
