Günther Draub

Günther Draub (born November 9, 1902 in Gliwice ; † January 18, 1957 ) was a Hessian politician ( GB / BHE , SPD ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Günther Draub attended grammar school from 1912 to 1921 and then studied law and political science in Breslau . He completed his studies in 1925 with the trainee exam and, after completing his legal preparatory service in Gleiwitz and Breslau, in 1929 with the assessor exam in Berlin. The doctorate followed later. From 1929 he worked as a lawyer and later also a notary in Gleiwitz. After 1945 he had to flee his homeland and from November 1945 worked as a lawyer and notary in Hofgeismar .

He was a co-founder and board member of the Democratic Economic and Development Community of Hesse (DWA), later chairman of the Independent German Community of Hesse and, after its merger with the founding organization of the BHE, state chairman of the BHE Hessen until 1953. He left the GB / BHE on September 3, 1953 and joined the SPD on October 4, 1953. From December 1, 1950 to November 30, 1954, he was a member of the Hessian state parliament and from December 3, 1950 to September 3, 1953, he was deputy chairman of the GB / BHE parliamentary group.
