Günther Hunold

Günther Hunold (* 1926 in Halle ) is a German author who became known for his contributions to sexual education .

Life

He studied music, education and psychology in Leipzig and got a job as a music teacher in the GDR. In 1952 he went to the Federal Republic. Since 1963 he became increasingly concerned with behavioral research and sexology.

At that time he began to publish the results of his studies in journals. But it wasn't until the onset of the sex wave that Hunold became widely known through his book School Girl Report . In this book he published twelve interviews with 14- to 20-year-old schoolgirls named only by their first names, whom he interviewed in Munich in 1969.

The interview minutes, which could not be further verified, contained numerous sexual details and were immediately filmed by producer Wolf C. Hartwig with extraordinary success. The Munich public prosecutor's office thereupon opened a preliminary investigation against unknown persons on suspicion of fornication with children and summoned Hunold as a witness. Since he refused to testify, he was sentenced to 500 DM, against which he lodged an unsuccessful complaint with the Federal Constitutional Court.

In the years that followed, Hunold wrote numerous other books on sexual subjects.
