Günther Röblitz

Günther Röblitz (* 1923 in Jena ; † 2008 in Leipzig ) was a German sports educator and university teacher .

Life

Röblitz obtained his doctorate degree in Jena in 1954 , the subject of his dissertation was "To identify and structure the educational processes as a special phenomenon in the life of society: a contribution to the foundation of the systematic of educational theory". On December 1, 1954, he took up a position as a university lecturer in the subject of systemic pedagogy at the German University of Physical Culture (DHfK). In 1964 he completed his habilitation with a special permit (subject: "Leisure time and sporting activities of young learners: attempting an educational foundation"), even before the DHfK received the right to habilitation the following year. From February 1965 Röblitz was at the DHfK "Professor with teaching position for systematic pedagogy / sports pedagogy" and from September 1969 full professor for pedagogy / sports pedagogy and head of the institute for pedagogy.

His areas of activity in sports education included, among others, the socialist education of competitive athletes as well as physical education and student sports. In 1985 he published the book “On the theory of the goals of the subject of sport at the universities and technical colleges of the GDR” and headed the collective of authors for the creation of the 1988 work “Student Sport: A Handbook for Pedagogues”.

In June 1957 Röblitz first director of the newly established section was badminton in SC Science DHfK Leipzig and in January 1958 with the founding of the German Badminton Association of the GDR (national badminton section of the GDR) as its chairman. The latter held office until September 1958. Röblitz was also head of the handball department at SC DHfK and head of the teaching program commission of the Scientific Advisory Board for Student Sports at the Ministry of Higher and Technical Education in the GDR.
