Günther Scharowsky

Günther Scharowsky (born September 2, 1891 in Berlin ; † June 28, 1953 in Erlangen ) was a German engineer and manager . He was a board member of Siemens AG .

Life

After the First World War , Günther Scharowsky joined Siemens-Schuckertwerke and worked in the development office of the Industry Department. In 1938 he became a board member and in 1949 chairman of the board. After 1945 he was significantly involved in the relocation of the Siemens & Halske (S&H) and Siemens-Schuckert plants from Berlin and Hof, due to the proximity to the Soviet occupation zone, to Erlangen and the rebuilding of the administration in Erlangen. 1951 Scharowsky left the operative business and became chairman of the supervisory board .

Honors

Günther-Scharowsky-Strasse in the Erlangen district of Bruck was named after Günther Scharowsky .
