Antonio Neumane Marno (born June 13, 1818 as Antonio Neumann in Corsica ; † March 3, 1871 in Quito ) was a German-Ecuadorian composer , pianist and conductor who is well known in Ecuador to this day, as he played the melody of Salve, composed by Oh Patria , a song that premiered in 1870 and has been Ecuador's official national anthem since 1886.

With the exception of the national anthem, nothing of his numerous works has survived, as all of them were destroyed in the great fire of Guayaquil in 1896 .

After studying abroad in Milan and Vienna, among others, and brief musical activities in Santiago de Chile and Peru , he settled permanently in Ecuador. In Quito he was the founding director of the Conservatorio Nacional de Música de Quito , which was founded by President García Moreno . After his death there, his remains were taken to the San Francisco Church in Guayaquil.
