Adolf Lohse (Manager)

Adolf Lohse (born March 6, 1902 in Schmalkalden ; † November 5, 1967 in Munich ) was a German economist and industrial manager .

Life

Lohse studied in Berlin Business and Economics and received his doctorate in 1940. Since 1926, he worked at Siemens & Halske hired in 1940 as Commercial Director. After the end of the Second World War he played a key role in the rebuilding of the company, of which he became CFO in 1946. In 1949 he became a board member at Siemens & Halske and at Siemens-Schuckertwerke . He promoted the merger of the two companies to form Siemens AG in 1966. In the same year he was appointed CEO of Siemens. In addition to his work at Siemens, he was also a member of the administrative board of the Deutsche Bundespostand Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank AG . He was also responsible for the re-establishment of the Rationalization Board of Trustees in 1950.
