Günther Schartz junior

Günther Schartz (born August 15, 1962 in Onsdorf ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and the son of the former member of the Bundestag Günther Schartz senior .

He attended the Saarburg grammar school and passed his school leaving examination there on May 26, 1981. After completing basic military service, he studied law at the University of Trier from 1982 to 1988 .

On August 11, 1994, he was elected mayor of the Saarburg Association. After the end of the legislative period, he was re-elected on March 3, 2002.

He is deputy state chairman of the CDU Rhineland-Palatinate and since January 1, 2006 district administrator of the district of Trier-Saarburg . He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sparkasse Trier . In his function as district administrator, he is also chairman of the Trier planning community .

Schartz has been a member of the RWE AG Supervisory Board since 2016 .

Schartz has been chairman of the Rhineland-Palatinate district council since September 2017 .
