GMG Airlines was a private airline based in Dhaka in Bangladesh and based at the local Zia International Airport .
history
GMG Airlines was founded in 1997 and made its maiden flight on April 6, 1998. On September 8, 2004, it was the first private airline in Bangladesh to take an international flight from Chittagong to Kolkata in eastern India . At the end of October 2006 the fleet was expanded with two McDonnell Douglas MD-82s , followed by another Boeing 767-300ER in 2010 . GMG Airlines was a member of IATA .
After aircraft had already been parked and flights canceled, GMG Airlines ceased operations on March 28, 2012, initially temporarily and then finally.

The airline recently flew from its home base in Dhaka in regular scheduled operations domestically to Chittagong and internationally to Kolkata , Jeddah and Dubai . Charter flights were also offered.
