eBay Enterprise (formerly GSI Commerce Inc. ) was an American company based in King of Prussia .

Founded in 1995 by Michael Rubin as Global Sports Inc. , the e-commerce company specialized in the development and operation of online shops for so-called brick and mortar brands and retailers and, according to its own information, had more than 500 customers, including Toys'R'Us , RadioShack , Dick's Sporting Goods , Sports Authority , Ace Hardware or Timberland . In its first fiscal year, GSI had 195 employees and sales of 5.5 million US dollars. The first website went online on the afternoon of October 5th.

In 2000 a warehouse was opened for fulfillment in Louisville, Kentucky . With more than double the number of employees, sales increased eightfold.

The name was changed to GSI Commerce Inc. in 2002. In Melbourne , in the US state of Florida , a call center opened and the number of employees rose to 935 with sales of 172.6 million US dollars.

The company Aspherio, SL of Barcelona was taken over in 2005, sales increased to 440 million US dollars in 1644 employees.

Since spring 2010 GSI Commerce has been involved in the German online shop manufacturer Intershop Communications .

On March 28, 2011, Ebay announced that it would acquire GSI Commerce for approximately $ 2.4 billion. The acquisition was completed on July 20th. The company was then renamed eBay Enterprise. Four years later, eBay separated from the company.

eBay Enterprise operated 27 fulfillment centers worldwide, including one in Halle (Saale) .

eBay Enterprise was transformed into Radial Inc. in 2016.
