GT 64: Championship Edition ( Japanese City Tour Grand Prix: Zenmoto GT Senshuken ) or GT 64 for short is a racing game for the Nintendo 64 released in 1998 . It was developed by Imagineer while Ocean Software was the publisher . It's one of the few racing simulations for this console.
Gameplay
The player takes on the role of a racing driver who takes part in the Super GT series . Before each race, the touring car must be adapted to the track conditions. B. the tires, shock absorbers , spoilers and translation .
scope
There are three race tracks in two variants each, after successful completion you can drive all tracks backwards. The vehicle range extends from Honda to Nissan to Toyota . However, the Porsche and Lamborghini brands participating in reality are not included. There are also various racing cars without a real prototype.
Championship, individual and time trials are available as game modes .
Differences between the PAL, NTSC (US), and NTSC (J) versions
The Japanese version differs significantly from that in the western cultural area. So, true to the Japanese championship, all tracks are located in Japan , while for the other version two tracks have been "relocated" to the United States and Europe .
In Japan the title sees itself as the successor to Multi Racing Championship , while in the West this is the first and only published part of the series. Off-road vehicles are no longer included.
