Gaël Andonian ( Armenian Գաել Անդոնյան ; born February 7, 1995 in Marseille ) is a French football player who also has Armenian citizenship . He is under contract with FC Martigues and can be used both as a full-back and a central defender .

Andonian began his professional career with his youth club Olympique Marseille . There he was accepted into the professional squad in 2014. Since he could not prevail, he was awarded to the second division FCO Dijon for the 2015/16 season . After his return he only played in the reserve team and was loaned out again, this time to Veria FC in Greece for six months . In the 2018/19 season he played a league game for the U-23s of Sunderland AFC and then joined AC Ajaccio . However, he was not used there and so he moved on to FC Martigues in January 2020 .

National team

From 2015 to 2018 he played 23 games for the Armenian national team . Before that, he played twice for France's U-16s in 2011.
