Gabin is an Italian nu-jazz - band consisting of Massimo Bottini and Filippo Clary . Her debut album Gabin from 2002 includes singles like " Doo Uap, Doo Uap, Doo Uap ", " Sweet Sadness " and " La Maison ". In 2004 the album Mr. Freedom was released . Her song " Bang Bang To The Rock'N'Roll " was featured in the 2005 movie Fantastic Four and in 2008 in the movie Sex Drive .

They worked with jazz musicians such as Dee Dee Bridgewater , Edwyn Collins and China Moses . The music direction is a mix of jazz, soul , downbeat and Latin sounds.

The band name Gabin refers to the legendary film star of French cinema, Jean Gabin .
