Gabriel Bibron
Marie Gabriel Bibron (born October 20, 1805 in Paris , † March 27, 1848 in Saint-Alban-les-Eaux , Loire department ) was a French zoologist .
Live and act
In the years 1827-1833 Gabriel Bibron participants was French scientific expedition in the Peloponnese -Landscape Morea in Greece . He worked at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle and classified a large number of reptiles together with André Marie Constant Duméril (he first described 232 species). Bibron died of tuberculosis in Saint-Alban .
When the Société Cuvierienne was founded in 1838 , he was one of the 140 founding members of the society.
