The 1.70 meter tall midfielder Costa belonged to the reserve team (Formativas) of River Plate Montevideo at the beginning of his career from 2010 to the end of July 2011 . In the 2011/12 season he played on loan for Rocha FC , made 19 appearances in the Segunda División and scored two goals. Bella Vista signed him in August 2012 . With the Montevideans he ran in eleven games (no goal) of the Primera División . He then moved to Club Atlético Rentistas in February 2013 . After 14 first division appearances and four goals in the 2013 Apertura , Costa was loaned to Alianza Lima in January 2014 . With the Peruvians, he played 60 games in the Primera División and scored 21 times in the opposing goal. He was also used in 20 matches (six goals) of the Copa Inca , two matches each (no goal) of the Copa Sudamericana 2014 and the Copa Libertadores 2015 . His team won the 2014 Copa Inca . From January 2016 he continued his career as part of a further loan at Sporting Cristal . For the capital city club from Lima , he has so far (as of April 14, 2017) completed 25 games (five goals) in the top Peruvian league as well as six games (one goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2016 and two encounters (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2017 . In 2016 he became the Peruvian champion with the team.
