Gabriele Cirener

Gabriele Cirener (born November 21, 1966 in Dinslaken ) is a German lawyer , presiding judge of the 5th Criminal Senate of the Federal Court of Justice as well as chairwoman of the independent body for the control of foreign-international telecommunications intelligence of the Federal Intelligence Service .

Live and act

Cirener grew up in Hünxe and graduated from high school there in 1986 . In the same year she began a study of the jurisprudence at the University of Trier , which they with the first state examination finished in 1,992th She then worked as a probationary judge at the Spandau District Court , the public prosecutor's office and, most recently, the Berlin Regional Court . There she was appointed judge for life in 2001 and served in several criminal chambers. In 2020 Cirener was promoted to chair of the 5th (Leipzig) Criminal Senate of the Federal Court of Justice .
